Pop-ups and browser history

Hi,
I am using a pop up calendar to fill in a form field, if the user uses the pop-up then submits
the form but has to go back for any reason, the form is reloaded and the user has to start over.
However, if the user edit the field manually, submits the form then go back, the fields are intact.

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
