hi there,
all of a sudden my IE browser refused to open javascript links. by that i mean links that, once clicked, open a new window via javascript. for instance, if i go to http://stubru.be (it's the site of a belgian radio) and i click "luister live", which means "listen live" it opens the window, but it remains empty, without background, so the first window can be seen THROUGH it. i know it's a problem of the browser, but i can't find it. i tried to reinstall but no use. i'm getting really crazy 'bout this, because i'm a webdeveloper and i really need things to work properly - even if i wasn't a developer!! tell me what to do and i'ld be very grateful!! thnx in advance, grenouille. |

IE and js link
I believe the problem you are experiencing is not a "new window" problem.
(try a test page with a <a href="#" target="_blank">link</a> and a <a href="#" onclick="window.open("#","new","width='400',height='200'")">link</a> The links you provided in your post are to a new window that contains an applet. It took quite a while to download. I waited over 2 minutes before I got a "certificate" dialog asking if I trusted the site. I think the problem you are having is with your JVM (java virtual machine) or java plug-in, or perhaps your IE security settings. |
