where Server-side JavaScript would be used?
Hi,
Server -side JavaScript can be used to communicate to a relational Database, perform file manipulations on a server. But are there any advantages in using Server-Side JavaScript over JSP? I believe that SSJS is supported by only the Netscape Server where as JSP's is a J2EE technology then why go for Server-side JavaScripting?. How popular is Server side JavaScripting? I would appreciate if somebody would answer my queries. Thanks in advance |

ASP can be written using SS JS also. It's purely personal preference. JS uses a more C like syntax and structure, whereas VBScript ASP is obviously VB based.
