Access frontend SQL Server backend

Hi ,
Well I am new here I am developing a database system which is currently in Access 97.
My task is to convert the database in SQL Server but access 97 would be frontend and
SQL Server would be backend. I have read books about this topic and also some internet
material but my question is when I am using the upsizing wizard or SQL Server DTS when
can I decide whether access 97 would remain in frontend and SQL Server would be in
backend as there is no option concerning this topic. How should I know that the whole
database is not fully converted to SQL Server?
Can someone kindly tell me which is right procedure to convert Access database keeping
access 97 in frontend and SQL Server in backend.
Thanks
Hammad
