Cascading combo help

Hi

I have problem trying to link two combos to rest of the data. I have a form that contains patient details and I have a combo that lists all specialities which depending on the speciality chosen will display the items in the second combo. This works fine but I can not get it to save to the patient details. Does anyone have any ideas? I can email the database if that would help.

Are each of the combos linked to fields in the database? If not, can they be?

No, they are not linked to any fields in the database as such, they each have there own table and I can get that bit to work, the problem I now have is getting it to save. In my database I have a main form that shows patient records and the two combos will show the treatment they are recieving, but when I press the save button and move to the next record it either shows the previous selection in the two combos or no data at all.
