create a query based on "sub" items from a list box

I have a list box which I want to be able to select items then click submit. When I do I want a pop up box to come up and be able to select items from THAT listbox and then query for records containing those "Sub" items. How do I do this? Thanks in advance guys... you all are awesome!

Quick question, you want a list box that has items, when you click submit, will the new popup contain the same items in that list box or items that are completely different but related to your selection? Also how would you want the query displayed, in a table or in a form?

cheers
