I cannot define querydef objects in Access 2000. When I look in the object library it has them listed as "Old constants".. This means I cannot create my own query by form interfaces although this was very straightforward in Access 97. Can anyone tell me how I can create queries at run time using Access 2000?

There is no problem in defining querydef objects in Access 2000. Do you have the DAO 3.6 library selected in References? Post a part of the code and let's see what is wrong.
