Issues (bug?) with access forms size, placement, and control placement
Friends,
It's been a while since I've done any serious Access development. And, most of time it was Access '97 or 2000 I worked on.
Now, I've done some work on designing an application in Access 2003 SP1. And, I'm running into very frustrating problems.
I've created a form with a tabl control on it. As I add controls to the tab control pages, all of the sudden the tab control location jumps to the left or upper-left corner when opened. On some occasions, if I click on one of the tabs, the tab control jumps back into its proper position -- sometimes it doesn't.
BTW, I have a linked background image to spice up the look of the form. I know, it's best not to have images in there. But, the customer want's a "pretty" looking app.
I think this is a bug because I can create a new empty form, relink the background image, copy in the tab control with all the fields into the newly created form and it behaves properly. The tabbed control does not move when the new form is opened.
Also, I think this may be a bug because when the same database and same form is opened on another machine (the client's machine) the tab control is once again out of position.
This access stuff is making me look like an ametur -- and perhaps I am for using it in the first place.
Do you have any ideas on what is causing my tab control positioning problems?
Thanks!
