Locked out of database

I have some how managed to lock myself out of my database. I was trying to create a splash screen to appear at the start of my database.

I wrote a short macro opening the splash screen, closing it, then opening the main form. I then used the start-up window to run the macro when the database opened, however in my stupidity I de-selected all tick boxes in the start-up window attempting to only display the splash screen and nothing else. I then closed my database and attempted to open it only to find that my macro didn’t work and just creates an error messages. After I accept the error message my database is open but unusable as the only options I have left to use are file (which contains search and exit options), window and help menus. Is there a way to get back into my database? Creating the splash screen was the last thing I needed to do to complete the database so starting again seems a very unattractive option. Does anyone have any ideas where to go from here?

Hold down the left shift key when opening the database. This should bypass startup scripts

Check your properties and make sure you are not opening the database in a read only. Otherwise holding down the shift until the data base opens should enable the Tools ->Start Up menu to be enabled.

If not can you describe what the tool bar displays and is the Start Up enabled or disabled.
