Smile Opening an Access Project (.adp) file from a website

I need a bit of help from anyone who has this experience.
I've written an Access application that is upsized to MSSQL2000. I created an .adp file (project) that connects you to the database automatically. I want to link the file on my company's intranet, however, i have two problems...
  • When clicking on the file, IE wants to know if you want to open or save the file... I realize this is a default action, im not stupid. However, is there ANY way around this?
  • Even if you DO go to "open" in that dialogue box, IE, for some reason, changes the file extension to .mdb and when access opens it, it gets an error, obviously because its not full of data (an .adp file is just a pointer with connection info in it).
So what the heck? Surely others like me want to do this same thing! Does anyone have anything that would help?
I would much appreciate it
Thanks!
