HI,
I have a text box whereby a user can input a keyword. When they press search, I want the database to search the records in a particular field and return the records that contain the word input by the user. Can this be done in Access? If so, can anyone point to any tutorials, links or explain how this can be achieved. Thanks in advance! PS_Sorry if this is a duplicate post but my post has not been showing up!

Hi Gee,
You most certainly can, and this is the basic heartbeat of Access, searching and displaying specific records. To get you started take a look at this link and download the sample database search form for your version of access to get an idea of how to do it. http://www.mvps.org/access/forms/frm0045.htm If you run into any problems getting your own database working the way you want, post back and will be glad to assist. lwells |
