Hi,
I am desperately looking for a way in VB 6 to programatically access any mailbox on an Exchange Server 5.5 using a service account. I have found several activex com's that allow me to retrieve mail from an Exchange Service but the following must always be specified Server , Username and Password This means that I need to know the password for each user. Can you use a service account that will allow me to access any mailbox and search for mails Hope you can help, Fido |

You have to have a valid password to access a mail box in MS Exchange 5.5. The only alternative is to use the Exchange Administrator as an administrator in the domain in which the server resides. This is for obvious security reasons.
