connecting web enabled db server from app
how to connect a web-enabled database server from a standalone application..for example a VC++ application...?
can some one clear the doubt please? |

Most TCP/IP or "web-enabled" database servers have an ODBC driver you can use to connect to the server.
If you were using MySQL, you would need to install the ODBC driver Connector/ODBC so the connection could be managed by the Windows ODBC Driver Manager. Below is a link to the FAQ page for the MySQL Connector/ODBC: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/connector/...#Connector_ODBC
