Interaction with a VB.net application

Hello,

I'm a beginner in MS SQL server and I need some help.
I'm trying to create an application in VB.net which will be able to interact with my database made with MS SQL server.

I need some advices about how to proceed, maybe some useful links. Are there different ways to do this "interaction" ?
