Log shipping a replicated database

Hi,

I have a database called final on my primary server. It has merge replication setup on it.

I have log shipping setup on this database.

Can someone help me out here:

I can restore the database on the standby server but the publications do not appear after i restore the database.

I have read about the keep_replication parameter which i do not currently include when i restore to the standby.

Is this required?

Do i need to also restore the master, msdb, and distribution databases on the standby server or will the user database with replication suffice?

Thanks in advance
