Hello, I setup a Windows 2003 Server with IIS and SQL for Web Development. I added the IUSR account to IIS, setup the database and created a new table for testing connections. I created a new user in the Security\Logins for the database, and gave him dbReader and dbWriter permissions. I selected Windows AND SQL authentication instead of just SQL, and I am still getting the error:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80004005' Login failed for user 'DevAccount'. Reason: Not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection. What is my problem?? I found other articles relating to this error, but nothing I found helped. I have setup SQL Servers in the past with no problem... is this related to Windows 2003 Server?? Thanks in advance for any insight on this, Mike |

You need to set the SQLServer authentication to "Mixed Mode". There are a few articles on MSDN about is, is it's a common problem.
