sql server connctivity

I have installed sql server 2000,and i have written
mssql_connec("localhost","roguia","roguia")but when running this,i obtain this message:
couldn't connect to localhost:raison not associed to a sucure connction sql server

hmmm try this in the username field type in "sa" and leave the password blank and see if you can connect to it then.

make sure you have your ODBC settings right for that account. If they are wrong you might get connection errors even if the mssql_pconnect() statement is correct.
