Trim the Access feild

I am working with VB6 and Access 2000 for a Bookshop Automation. My program reads Barcode and this Barcode is converted to ISBN( Without Hyphens). But my ISBN Access feild (Which contains around 2000 records) has Hyphens in between the ISBN digits? My primary aim is to search for the ISBN in the database and display the title and price in the form.

How to tackle this? Also how a search can be performed? Please help

Prince
