I am moving over from access to mysql, I have followed your example without the error code to see if the problem I had before would go away it did'nt: The problem: I am using WindowsXP with its IIS server when I run the script it works first time but when I press refresh I get this message: Error Type: Microsoft VBScript runtime (0x800A01FB) An exception occurred: 'Open' /mysqltest/index.asp, line 12 and when I press refresh again I get: Error Type: Provider (0x8000FFFF) Catastrophic failure /mysqltest/index.asp, line 12 Then all I can do is reset the machine. Can you shed some light on the matter ![]() |

Re: connection to mysql via asp
Quote:
Scanet, I'm not sure if this will help, but I'm guessing that this error message is referring to the "open" connection which already exists... do you have any "close" statements, which close the connection to your DB? Try posting the code you're having trouble with...
