HELLLP...Need PHP and MySQL help!

Hi guys,
I'm new to the PHP and mySQL side of things; I mostly play around with Flash and static web sites but I have a dynamic content idea.

I wish to create a site with PHP and databasing that shows a review for products available on my site. The site is a product review website; but I don't wish to edit each page, but be able to make products, categories, reviews and ratings via databasing.

For example:

A user would enter the site, select a category (say MP3 Players)

Then be given a choice of what type for example 'Portable'

Then the user can select a product from the list.

MP3 Players -> Portable -> iPod -> 20GB

Once selected a page with the product review, and rating would be available for the user to see.

Also extras such as pictures would be available.

I do not wish to create each product page individual using HTML, but using PHP and mySQL to grab information from a database.

Can anyone give me any tips on where to start etc?

Is there any tutorials and books you can recommend?

If you know PHP / mySQL then you may make on your own, but if you don't I would highly recommend using some kind of a shopping cart available. OsCommerce is one, or you can try some Content Management System like PHP-Nuke for easy editing of pages etc.
