Unhappy Help To Setup ODBC MySQL To Web
Hi,

I am very new to all the MySQL, MyODBC etc.
I run a pool league and i want to create a link to the database on my website to my local database. What do i do??

I have a company that host my site "PlugSocket" they have created a database for me. I have no tables, but after reading a few articles i downloaded the MyODBC drive 3.51 and tried to connect. I keep receiving errors: Unable to connect to database "localhost"
Host = "localhost"
Database name = "trurodistrict" (as told by host)
Username
Password

I have enetered the correct information for last two fields, i have put my ip address in the host field. I am now lost. Error message is unable to connect. Please can anyone help even by directing me to a site where it has a simple configuration example for beginners like me.
