MYSQL 3.23 Recordcount issue

I am using MySql 3.23 and was using access 2000 previously. I am trying to convert everything to MYSQL. I can connect and retrieve data, but when I try to get a record count, which is essential to my web page, I get a -1 integer. This means that my recordset is not connecting right.

How are you trying to get the record count?

What programming language are you using?

I was trying to use it in asp and VB. I figured it out though. You have to have the aduseclient for both connection and recordset for it to work.
