MySQL Admin

mitchell,

i dont know if you still get time to read the forum postings... but a while ago i asked if you could explain the mysql administration. i dont really understand its workings... as to why you need to supply a hostname for the user, and why you cant just login from any computer. you said that you would do an article on it. just wondering if you ever found the time mate? (dont want to sound like a annoying little thing.)

or if anyone else can find me a good tutorial on it... and not the one from devshed, because all that did was confuse me.

thanks anyway...

stu

Also the documentation is a great place to start. Many of the developers have written the docs so that you can get almost an inside feel for the administration.
