MySQL installation on WindowsXP Pro?
Anyone know of a good tutorial on installing MySQL 3.23 (4.x if it is worth it) on WindowsXP Pro? I've followed a couple of tutorials, but for some reason I'm having "windows services" type issues, amongst other problems. Apache is a breeze to install and configure, why can't MySQL be?

Go up to 4.x and use the windows binary package. It has an installer that is as easy to use as any other program out there. Generally you would want to install MySQL before Apache, or so I've heard....
