MySql,php and relational database books

I have a bit of knowledge with php and MySql but am still very much a novice with no other programming knowledge. I have no knowledge of designing relational databases and what i have done with php & MySql in the past hasn't required to know about them. i now need to learn about relational databases aswell as become more familiar with php and MySql. I've been looking through the net for books that will help me in plain english but it appears that most of them assume you know another proggraming language or at least reccomend you do. Can anyone recommend through experience good books or series of books on these 3 subjects that take you from begginer level up as i can't keep clogging these forums up asking for help all the time.

A book I found quite helpful was the Beginning PHP series of books from Wrox. If you already have somewhat of an idea of PHP and MySQL, you're already ahead. Check them out:

Beginning PHP4

I also read PHP for the World Wide Web Visual Quickstart Guide, which I also found useful... This books is for someone with little-to-no programming knowledge.

Hope it helps.
