Replacing columns in one table with column values from another table

I have three columns in table1 out of which one is a primary key . The remaining two columns contains abbreviation of cities which needs to be replaced with the full name of the cities.

The second table is the look up table which contains expansion of the corresponding abbreviations present in the table1.

how do i write the query ?
