Exclamation Configuration error when viewing aspx pages

I am using ASP.NET WebMatrix to write my aspx files (I am still very new to aspx). Whenever i try to view my aspx page in IE 6.0 i get a configuration error as follows:

Description: An error occurred during the processing of a configuration file required to service this request. Please review the specific error details below and modify your configuration file appropriately.

Parser Error Message: Server cannot read capabilities configuration r.

Source File: c:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v1.1.4322\Confi g\machine.config Line: 634

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Version Information: Microsoft .NET Framework Version:1.1.4322.573; ASP.NET Version:1.1.4322.573

P.S :I tried looking in Microsoft Knowledge Base but unfortunately i couldnt find a solution.
