Connect to a POP3 Mailbox quickly?!

Hi,

I am building an applpication and I want to offer users the functionality of having an webmail. I know there are a few *decent* systems out there, but I want to write one that I can fully intergrate into my website design. I can send the emails and attachments without a problem but I am having problems working out how to connect to a POP3 mailbox and display the results in an approipate manner.

I found this script (http://authors.aspalliance.com/chri....asp?article=93) which is extremely slow but connects to a POP3 mailbox but the content isn't display in an usable way. I was wondering if anyone has done this before or if they know of any tutorials etc...

Lookup up the RFC for POP3/IMAP4. It's the only way I know of of connecting to a mailbox and using it.
