Crystal reports unavailable as new item

After merrily developing in vb.net 2003 std. for some time, I found a need to add a report using Crystal reports.

So, right click on project, select add, add new item - scroll thru the templates and Crystal is just not there. I've re-installed, rolled back and torn hair from my head - all to no avail - everything else is available except Crystal Reports...

No errors are flagged by the install. Tried with and without AVG shield running. Everything else (as far as I can see) is installed. Closest I've seen in the KBs is a SMS problem (probably for an older version) where the install falls over if more than 2 gig space is available.

Any suggestions or similar experiences out there? I'm in sunny South Africa - so I'm probably not online when u are...

Hey, Check for dll's related to crystal reports, where so ever you are installing your .NET Framework. If it is in C, the path would be like C:\Program Files\Common Files\Crystal Decisions\1.1\Managed\CrystalDecisions.Web.dll.

If you can see a list of dll's related to Crystal Reports, then that means Crystal reports are installed properly and if you cannot find them there, then there is someting definitely wrong with the installation
