How do you write ASP.NET website. By your own or using any CMS, VWD? please help me.

I have a problem now about making decision.

I'm the one who want to jump in to ASP.NET from ASP.

Usually, I use ASP in developing website, using Dreamweaver MX 2004. But even using Dreamweaver MX, I write the code, all, with my own... all the code, the database connection, show data , etc, with my own. I don't know is this the correct way? And it spends so much time. But I have no other way better. (If any one know please tell me the easier way). Now when I’m look forward to ASP.NET, I hesitate how to develop website quicker. Should I using CMS, but if I use CMS does it allow me to do something sophisticated? Should I use VWD (Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2005) It tell me that I can reduce so much time in creating ASP.NET web application. But does it have power tools to create webpage with fussy tools (layer, css font, etc.) like Dreamweaver 2004? I’m not sure. So tell me how do you create your website. Do you develop your website in ASP.NET with your own (without using CMS or VWD)? Please tell me. But now what I think I’ll do … is to develop ASP.NET website with my own for I can write it sophisticated as I want. But it must spend so much time. What about you? Please tell me by your experience. Please help me to understand what other people do… Please
