Migration from .net framework 1.1 to 3.5

Hi,

I have a web application developed using VS 2003. I am planning to migrate it to VS 2008. Please guide me regarding this.

Is it ok if i directly migrate to VS2008 (framework 3.5) or it will be simple if i convert it to VS2005(framework 2.0) first and then to VS2008?

I tried converting to VS2005 and the wizard converted the code. When i try building the site i am getting several errors.
