Perl > VB.NET

I'd like to know how to convert this over to .NET, all it does is constantly refresh the directed web page, but through the command prompt, no browser interaction. I'd like to stick with vb.net since it seems more efficient than perl.

Code:
#!usr/bin/perl

for($x=0;$x<=1000;$x++){print "Content-Type: text/html\n\n";

my $url = "http://google.com";

use LWP::UserAgent;
use HTTP::Request::Common qw(GET POST);

my $agent = LWP::UserAgent->new;
my $req = GET $url, Referer => "(http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=this+should+work&btnG=Google+Search&meta=)";

print $agent->request($req)->as_string;}
