Hi there,
just wondering if anyone out there know if Linux OS can support VB.Net program? If I write my program in windows visual studio, and upload into Linux OS, do i need to have any additional program to configure it? Thanks... |

They are two completely different OS's - You'd either have to recompile the app for the PDA, or run some Windows emulation software on the PDA

ohhh i see so just wondering the emulator you mention must be
install in PDA and then implement in the desktop computer right... so do you happen to know any emulator to be install in the PDA,if there is, then do I need to transfer using hyperterminal via serial cable or is there any software like ActiveSYnc for Linux-GPE....Thank very much for help.. |

Mono only supports C# right now, they don't have it on the board to support VB.NET, and the way it looks M$ is going to copyright the API and make the Mono project illegal.

hmm...so you mean i could use C# to develop my program and transfer over to my iPAQ which is using Linux OS right? so could C# have interface for the end-user to click it?
Oh ya, what application or software must i download in my iPAQ in order for the Mono and C# to run? Thanks alot.... |

mmmm, I don't think they can copyright what is now available free in the public domain. I suppose they'll try! One day they'll go bust and I'll laugh ![]() |
