Question ASP info to PHP table??

bonjour!

My scenario is that as requested by the client, I am trying to use the XMB forum (written in PHP) along side an ASP written website.
The whole site has already been written in ASP ( ) and now the clients wishes to have the XMB forum integrated into the site....

What I need to do, is to register the user on the XMB forum members table at the same time as the member registers with the main website. Ie: Joe Bloggs comes along to the website, and fills in the register form... I need that data to be sent to the Access DB using ASP.. then sent over to the XMB members table using PHP....

I was wondering how?!!
I need the users details entering in both, as it would be silly for them to have to register twice.

I thought maybe I would do the following:

Once the user has been registered in the Access DB... call a PHP file with the details sent in the URL... eg:

<%=
'user has successfully registered...
response.redirect "register.php?name=" & name & "&password=" & password & ""
%>

techincally that should open the members table in the PHP side of things....
but I worry about the saftey of passing the password and other details over the URL..plus there would be a lot of page flickering.

Maybe there is another forum written in ASP which is similar?
or maybe there is a command to use PHP?

Pllllleeeaaasssseee help!!

Many Thanks,
