General - Input type=hidden

Hi all I am very new to php and am trying to fix a problem that someone else did. I have a page with an alert box but not a pop up just a box shaded in grey that has some infomation that the user can click on to submit an action, they have it shaded in gray and have the coding as input type=hidden, could that be why this box is not printing out? It submits just fine but the users want to be able to print out what they are submitting as well as the bottome prints out no problem. I hope that makes sense and if this is too easy for you I apologize as I am just beginning with all of this. Thanks for your time.
