I already know what an If statement is, and how to use echo and using loops, but I am not up to the level where I should be looking at "How to Build a Members Area" What articles would be good for me to go through and things I should do and pratice to get to atleast that level?

Before you can even attempt an article like building a members area, you should at least read a few PHP books. Also we have a few beginners php articles in our php section, which go though databases, sessions, classes. I would read though them as well.
