php tutorial on how to use LOCK?
Hello,
I'm looking for tutorial on how to use LOCK feature. I think I may need it when I do an update query followed by an insert query, or 2 inserts or 2 update one after another. I could not find it anywhere at any php websites or in any books. If you know, please post. I think it maybe simple but I haven't done it yet and how to do it right and what to avoid. Thanks, John Last edited by johnn : May 25th, 2002 at 12:28 AM. |

Hi John,
We have an authors meeting on Tuesday, so I will pitch the idea there and let you know if/when we will be writing a tutorial about it for you ![]() |

If you are wanting to use LOCKS in the database, then you would need to use the LOCKing features for those databases. Almost all dbs use some form of LOCKing.
