Unhappy PHP upload file

HI
i am using php program and xitami as ...web server, the upload file is working
well, i can upload and download (doc, ppt,..) and i can have access to this file
in local connection(ethernet). the problem is that how can i have external access
to my file( i mean world wide access) , and upload the file i need. i am studying in college, and i
wan upload the lecturer file which i need them and review them at home.most of
the time due to large size i cant save them on floopy disk. and i am sure this
program can help me. More over, i am using windows XP

plz guide me.

I heard that IP configratation is not possible to be done on Win Xp

is that right? has anyone uploading file via Win Xp?

sure it is. U just need to make an uploadscript, and store it on the server, then u can acces it from where ever, and upload files.

i did and i gave my ip to my friend to open the website. unfortunately she cant access to it.
