PHP web site model

I am interested in making a website similar to this one:
http://www.halloffamedance.com/regionals/default.aspx?season=3

It uses ASP but I would like to use PHP.

I'm looking for the same functionality as this one. The links are all directed towards a database which then populates the following page.

If someone could write a simple page or two which implements the same functionality, I would appreciate.

Thank you very much.

And you think someone here is just going to do it for you?

Exclamation

"And you think someone here is just going to do it for you?"

I did not realize this was such a difficult task. I'm not very familiary with PHP/MySQL but I assumed the functionality of this website is something that anyone who knows a little about php/mysql can do.

Is it that difficult?

I'd imagine the database would have an ID field for each record, the when the user clicks on the link it goes to a template page which fills in the data where ID = whatever. I just don't know how to formulate this into a working template.

I'm looking to learn from the code that is presented to me.

I aplogize if this seems like I'm looking for someone "to do just do it for me"

There's a million and one php/mysql tutorials out there. If you want to learn about it go and read some of those. We're all happy to answer specific questions but requests along the lines of 'someone do this for me' are just never going to happen.

You might also google "asp2php." It's a utility that'll supposedly port ASP code over to PHP code. I don't know how reliable it is.
