Upgrading from PHP 4.0.x to 4.3
Hi,
I have been using PHP Triad on Windows XP for quite a while now, and am seriously considering upgrading its current PHP version 4.0.x to the latest one, 4.3. How do I go about doing it? I've seen some tutorials on uninstalling PHP from Windows, and it involves some scary bits of registry-editing, which I'm trying to avoid, if possible. So should I uninstall PHP Triad first, and then re-install everything, or can I just download the latest PHP and install directly from there and let it overwrite the existing setups? Replies are very much appreciated. Thanks. |

php doesnt have anything to do with the windows registry. It is quite possible to copy the over the existing files with the new files, as i have done this a couple of times.
