It should be noted that the company who created DTS and DMO for Microsoft SQL Server is currently attempting to enforce licensing on developers who have used the features, and they're having some level of success. If you work for a large company who's likely to be effected, just be aware.
On a side note, switch to SQL 2000. |

Would it be more efficient to write the COM's in C++ for a situation such as this?? I know that the DB times are the main issue here (and SQL structure etc), but surely having code written in ASP/VB slows the whole process down a bit.... just curious as I've never had to deal w/ a project of that scale.

Dear All,
Now I need to write one program to schedule the job to run the DTS created at SQL Server 2000 with Global Variable passing in every time when user select. I have read the example on article, but my problem is my company not have Visual Basic, so can I write the function "AsyncExecute" on ASP? cause i try to do this, but the problem was appear like below : Invalid ProgID. For additional information specific to this message please visit the Microsoft Online Support site located at: http://www.microsoft.com/contentredirect.asp. After I check is because of ProgID "SQLDMOUtil.Job" used in code. Can everyone help me? |
