Couldn't write log data to the MySQL database.

I am recieving this error message when attempting to log in:
"Couldn't write log data to the MySQL database."

Help Anyone?!

add a extra field to ur session table with a timestamp
in the storesession function add a delete query for sessions older then <x> minutes.

u can also add a query to check if a user already got an session stored, if so update the sessionid field.

so there is absolutely no way of getting this to work without session.auto_start to work?? my host wont let me change the setting in php.ini with ini_set() or using any apache ways of turning it on.
