bluescreen when i try to connect to my webserver.

im trying to make a webserver at home on xp...
but everytime try to connect to it from the computer iget a bluescreeen..

i realize its not a common problem

What version of Windows XP are you using (home or professional)? Also, are you using IIS, Apache, or Personal Web?

windows xp pro. SP1 and im using the newest version of apache 2.0.42 or something

XP SP1? Hmm... Did you have Apache on the system before installing the service pack? If so, did you have the problems before installing the pack?

I've read that many people have had problems with their systems since installing SP1 (Win XP Update Crashes Some PCs - Third item down...).

What error message do you receive exactly? Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing?

id say its the fact that your running apache 2, as im running apache 1.3 on WinXP Pro, with the service pack and no problems here, try replacing apache 2 with 1.3 and see if you still have the same problems?!?!

hmm, its the only thing i can really think of, as im using the same conditions but with 1.3. Untill my web host moves over to 2.0 ill keep using 1.3
