CD Won't Copy

A client of mine wants clips of his CD to play on the site I am building for him. The CD was recorded at a concert. The clips are in .cda format.

1. First I tried to copy the CD onto another CD. I got the message that there wasn't enough room. I know this is not true because this was a new CD with plenty of room. I never get problems like this when trying to copy CDs onto other CDs.

2. I then tried to copy the CD onto my harddrive. That seemed to work. However, when I then attempted to play any of the songs off my harddrive (with Windows Media Player), I got an error message that the song is not in a proper format. When I attempted to play the exact same songs off the original CD, with the same software, they played fine.

I do not know what to do. Solutions welcome. Also, any suggestions as to forums more suitable for this question are welcome.

I use a program called Exact Audio Copy (EAC)... it converts to WAV, or would encode into another audio codec if you provide it one...

check it out: http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/

Yeah - I just started using EAC too - it's fantastic. Very thorough, and even manages to record some of my more worn CD's.
