compare and search

Hello,
I am a s/w newbie and am wondering what the easiest
language would be to search through the classifieds of
many different online newpapers for a keyword and then
to print out that addvertisement in its entirety to an
appended file. Before appending an entry a search and
compare would be made to see if a prior days search had
already picked up the advertisement in the appended file.
For example, if I wanted to search through the
San Jose Mercury and the New York Times classifieds
for all adds that have "10 speed bike" somewhere in
them and then append the entire add to a file what
language would be best and what commands might
one use for this search and comparing???
