Default Text Box Size in Netscape 4?
Trying to build a cross-browser form and it seems that Netscape 4 has a default text box size. Is there a way around this?
I had used <input type="text" size="18" name="semail" maxlength="40"> but it is disregarding the size I have set. The textbox that it inserts is way too big. Would have posted this to the design form, but it seems to have disappeared? ![]() |

Yeah,
I've had that issue as well... I never did find a solution (I guess it wasn't too big of a concern for me)... All I did was decrease the size... It ends up looking smaller in IE, but at least it doesn't mess up the page in Netscape, which was my biggest concern.

I haven't tried this, but - try setting the font, width and height properties of the textbox with a stylsheet.

I will. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
Although, I thought that Netscape 4 had problems with CSS? But I could be wrong. I notice on devarticles, their subscription box is the same size on Netscape 4 and IE 6, how did you do it guys? |

That's weird... In Mozilla, the text box is smaller... I noticed that on most vBulletin sites I'm on...
