Des tool kit (cipher -3.0)

hi,

i download the tool Download the DES implementation
(fast-des3.0.tar.Z)

i am new one with this toolkit.i donot know how to use this and how to Encrypt a short message 100 characters using this DES toolkit and plain text, cipher text, and the Key to a disk.

any help from any one is highly appericated.

and i am beginner please also tell me some helping material to use this toolkit.
