Exclamation HELP!!! No Source Code!!!!

I have a BIG problem!

At my work place we have a custom program for which a predecessor left no source code!!
It seems like he used Visual Basic three. Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the programm and the very important "vbdiszze.zip" file, so that I can revere the proccess and try to get the source code?

Or does anyone know for sure if using Visual Basic 6 will help in doing a reversal?

Please help!
Edward C.

I doubt vb 6 will be able to undo it. As for the file have you tried google? vb3 decompilers

I had not tried a google search. Are those the results you are recommending? or was it just a random search?

I've tried VB decompilers before. The resulting code isn't always the cleanest, and I don't really recommend changing stuff and recompiling without knowing a bit about what's going on... Depending on the size of the app, might it be easier to code a newer and potentially faster application from scratch? [obviously not always the best solution given time/budget constraints]

Re-writing the programm would deffinitely be a great idea, but we have a need for so many features that it would be way too teadious and time consuming to produce another, better, faster version.
