I know you'll say "RTFM!!!" but please help me anyways. I am learning PHP by the day and i want to know how to make it start when you browse to my site. I have a site coded in HTML and the PHP is "ready" but i can't get any information on how to make the PHP to start when you browse to my site. Shall the "index.html" include some sort of script to "point" to the database or something?

As you suggested, the best way to begin is to read a beginners tutorial, or buy a book. Books are usually a good way to learn when you are starting out as they can fill you in on WHY things work, and not just give examples, which are worthless to beginners.

Yes, you are right but when i read the beginners tutorial all i can read about is how it works when it's already up and running. I'll try to find out more. |
