Lotus Domino Server issue???
Hello,
I am a web developer interested in finding out more about Lotus Domino Server 5.0x.
I have a senario with a possible client, who claims that it is not possible to use a FTP software to upload to his server. This due to that his server is not a standard HTTP web server and thus does not have a normal HTTP file structure. Accordingly to him, he has no file structure to upload to.
When I nrmally upload web pages to a server I usally use a FTP. Is that not possible if my client has a Lotus Domino server? I assume he is wrong about his statement, after all html code is html code and should be accetable by most web servers, correct?
If not, please give me some advise to how I can upload web pages (html pages)to a Domino server. Usally a web server would have a host directory to upload to, which I can access via FTP. I think Lotus Domino supports integration with IIS (Microsoft Internet information Server, but I am not sure how?
I would appreciate some assistance from someone with sound experince with Lotus Domino (Lotus Notes). Perhaps there is someone out there that has actually uploaded html pages via FTP to a Domino Server. Or maybe someone who has managed to get a Domino server to accept a normal http file structure.
Please explain, should you have any tutorials, live demos or any other relevant information available which relates to this topic, please let me know.
Thanks for your time.
